     TEPCO is the giant Japanese utility company that brought the world the Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011. They had a bad record of managing nuclear power well before 2011. They had been chastised in court by the Japanese government for incompetence. Three years before the Fukushima disaster, they had generated an internal report that warned of the possibilities that did come to pass.

Getting Kids To Read More Often

Some people love to read. You couldn't get them to stop if you tried. Many of us have stayed up way too late just to read another chapter (and another, and another...). But there are lots of people who don't enjoy reading, either, which is actually fine. Some people see it as a red flag, but everyone has different interests and abilities. One member of my family, for example, doesn't enjoy reading due to a disability but loves being read to and occasionally reading aloud with me.
