Fans Save Cat With Flag

Fans came together during a recent football game to help save a dangling cat who was hanging precariously by the Hard Rock Stadium upper deck. The poor tuxedo cat was barely hanging on when fans used an American flag to catch it and save it from impending doom. It may have been the best moment of the Miami Hurricanes vs. Appalachian State Mountaineers game for many fans, if not the best moment in football history for non-fans!

Robot Food Deliveries

A robot on wheels is the new delivery person at the Seattle-Tacoma Airport. Named Gita, the robot is accompanied by a human and it will bring your food to your gate for a small delivery fee. As much as I'm opposed to robots doing human work, this is kind of genius. It would be exhausting to carry all of that food for a family if a human had to do it, and I've nearly missed a flight while standing in line before.

Komodo Dragons Are Now Endangered

As a child, I remember being fascinated with the komodo dragon. It was my favorite animal to see at the zoo. I think it reminded me of real dragons and dinosaurs. How could it not? The prehistoric creature is our largest lizard and as of right now, according to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, it's now endangered. The cause? Human behavior. Climate change and habitat destruction have led to this creature's significantly lower population.

The Best Fall Craft Finds

Fall crafting is my favorite crafting time of the year! Spooky stuff is my jam and I'm here for all of the bats, pumpkins, cauldrons and more. Yes, I like the scary stuff, too, but the lighter decor that's just spooky is the BEST. Apothecary jars? Witchy signs? YES, please! Of course I love to customize it. Last year I glued some fun little apothecary signs to my kitchen cabinet doors, and my favorite project is probably the mirror in my office that I painted and covered with rubber snakes (also painted).

Welcome Fall with Dessert!

The annual PSL from Starbucks really brings in the season for some of us much earlier than it should, even if we can't wait for it. Fall doesn't officially start until the Autumn Equinox and there's still time before then to enjoy some yummy treats to welcome in the season, or even wait to enjoy them during the Equinox on September 21. What will you eat to welcome fall?

PSL Your Way

PSL season is in full swing, and the more pumpkin spice lattes there are from various coffee vendors and recipe bloggers, the more customizations there are. It's entirely possible to have a totally different PSL every day of tall, from PSL mochas or caramel frappes to whipped PSLs and other fun variations.

Fox Says Family Guy Is Important to Network

How many people tune in to watch Family Guy or other adult cartoon programming but otherwise despise the Fox Network? Chances are there are a lot of them, especially given how much more liberal most of the shows are compared to the news network. That's why it's so ironic to hear the network president say that Family Guy and The Simpsons are so important for the company's future.

The Misogyny Is Coming From Inside The Left

Most people who exist anywhere aside from the right of the political spectrum know that the left side just can't get it together. We can argue that we won't fight dirty enough, which is how the right often wins, or that we don't have candidates who are progressive, left or moderate enough (all could be true), but ultimately it boils down to the fact that everyone wants their perfect candidate--and everyone continues to value white supremacy, even if they don't know they do it. ESPECIALLY when they don't know they do it.

Zooniverse Launches New Project

Frog Lovers have always been able to serve as citizen scientists through projects like Frog Watch, and now there is a new project available via Zooniverse. Frog Find is a project that challenges citizen scientists to find distressed frogs that have been moved due to natural disasters, pollution and human involvement so scientists can help find them and preserve their populations.

Be A Voice For Manatees

When Biden was elected, America knew that the majority of his first year in office would be spent restoring the many things that the previous administration had destroyed. Many pieces of flotsam and jetsom in Trump's wake remain wrecked, waiting to be restored, including the manatees that Trump's U.S Fish & Wildlife Service removed from the Endangered Species list.
